The first Presidential Debate is scheduled for Wednesday October 3rd, at 8:00 PM until  9:30 PM  (CST) and will be hosted by Jim Lehrer of PBS.

It will be focused on domestic policy and will be divided into six-time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on topics to be decided by the moderator and will be announced several weeks before the debate.

The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond.  The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic.

It will be held at The University of Denver, Colorado

I will be hosting a Google Hangout for anyone who would like to participate in a discussion immediately following the debate.  I will post a URL to locate it shortly before the debate.  Anyone is welcome and I would love to talk politics with you!  See you then…

Famous Endorsements

Although I can think of nothing more trivial in politics than which actor or musician supports which candidate, I remain curious.  Fortunately in the Information Age, finding out is as easy as finding a search engine.  With Wikipedia being updated constantly we are given a breakdown of these facts with citations.  Looking through the respective lists have filled me with shock and disappointment when a celebrity I like supports the other guy.  I personally like my entertainment free of political bias, but here are the lists for those who are interested.
